GREEK ANOMALY
concrete in olive grove
Greece, 2010
An unfamiliar object stands out within a greek olive grove. Its presence is exceptional and tells neither origin nor reason of existence. In a way the object reminds to the truncated rhombohedron of Dürer’s ›Melancholia I‹ or the futuristic foreign disposition of the ›TMA‹ in Kubrick’s Space Odyssey. It broaches subconsciously the issue of an alien: The uniqueness, loneliness and fear of the unknown.
Capable to create a myth one day it will be eventually seen as a forgotten Euclidean monument of the ancient world.
